Young footballers score with new kit sponsorship
Two local junior football teams have received a new playing strip courtesy of Manning Stainton.
The Wetherby branch of the area’s leading estate agent has used its Community Support Programme to sponsor Collingham under 15’s and under 16’s who both play in the Selby and District Junior Football League.
Priya Bhandal, a Sales Negotiator at the company’s branch in Market Place, Wetherby caught up with the under 15’s ahead of their clash with Dunnington, which they won 4-1, and says: ‘We love building relationships with clubs, schools and other worthwhile organisations who do so much good in the communities in which we operate and this is our way of saying ‘thank you’.
‘It was also lovely to meet the Collingham lads prior to one of their matches and judging by the score line I could be their lucky mascot!’
For Collingham Juniors FC the kit sponsorship has provided a welcome boost to their fund raising efforts.
‘We stage various events and participate in initiatives to raise the money needed to cover our running costs but a new kit is often an expense too far, which is why we are so grateful to Manning Stainton for their most generous support,’ says Team Manager Peter Slater.
Meanwhile earlier in the year Manning Stainton also sponsored a new kit for Bramham FC ahead of their first season in the York Minster League. Throughout 2016 the company has supported over 50 separate groups as well as raising money for its chosen charity, Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Wetherby branch of Manning Stainton is open 7 days a week and the team is ready to take customer calls from 8am-8pm every day. It is one of 19 Residential Sales and Lettings branches across West and North Yorkshire helping people move.
