Where are you watching the meteor shower this weekend?!
The Perseid's Meteor Shower
How to watch the meteor shower this weekend!
This year could be the best Perseid meteor shower we’ve ever seen! Meteors will be seen in bursts of 60-70 meteors per hour! It will last through till Monday night!
Find an area without light pollution
Find an area away from towns, streetlights and headlights. Fields and parks are usually good places to go where the light can't spoil the show.
Give yourself twenty minutes in the darkness so that your eyes can fully adjust, don’t look at your phone screen it will start the process all over again!
The best time to see the meteors is after midnight, but they can be visible before then!
Saturday night is supposed to be around 19 degrees and there is a chance of clouds.
Sunday night is around 16 degrees and a chance of rain.
Wrap up warm in a blanket or a sleeping bag, and if you can find a hammock or a sun lounger that’s perfect. The best way to watch the shower is by lying down so bring the picnic blanket. Also a great idea for date night this weekend and it’s completely free!
We will just have to keep our eyes on the skies and hope for the best, it's going to be a spectacular site!
There are some brilliant apps that you can find on the app store to help you stargaze and identify constellations!
