A small town in the heart of the Wharfe Valley, Guiseley enjoys direct access to Leeds in one direction and the delights of the Yorkshire Dales and beyond in the other. There is also the added bonus of a train station with regular services to Leeds, Bradford and Ilkley, and the close proximity to Leeds Bradford International Airport.
For a relatively small town Guiseley has a wide range of amenities on offer. Two retail parks; Guiseley Retail Park and Westside Retail Park include a number of major high street stores and a Morrison’s supermarket. These complement a wide range of independent retailers.
Across Guiseley and the surrounding areas there is certainly no shortage of pubs, bars and restaurants. Zen Rendezvous serves tasty oriental cuisine, while the ever popular Coopers on Otley Road has an interesting menu featuring, among other things, homemade gourmet hot dogs and handmade burgers. If Indian is more to your liking then check out the long established Prachee on Bradford Road and for a pizza and a pint head to the Station Pub, prominently located at the traffic light junction, in the centre if the town.
Guiseley has consistently been popular amongst families, this is partly due to the exceptional choice of schools for all ages. Primary schools include St Oswald’s Church of England, Tranmere Park and Guiseley, while Guiseley School on Fieldhead Road provides mainstream state education for pupils aged 11 to 18. See our school guide for more information.
Aireborough Leisure Centre offers over 400 group exercise classes for all ages, swimming pool, squash courts and a climbing wall!
There is so much on offer for those looking to move to Guiseley!
