Morley is one of the most popular areas for families due to its large range of amenities good size family homes and long list of good schools; both primary and secondary. Morley is home to 6 primary schools and 3 secondary schools. An impressive proportion of Morley schools have been rated as outstanding by Ofsted and the largest majority are rated as Good, a notable outcome for a vast area with a large array of schools. Garforth is a popular suburb of Leeds and is conveniently located a similarly equal distance from central Leeds, south-west of York and the north of Wakefield. Garforths close proximity to motorway networks and its large array of amenities attract many families to the area. As a result, there are plenty of schools to choose from within a 3-mile radius of Garforth, 4 of which are deemed as outstanding by Ofsted and another 8 recognised as Good. Garforth has both primary and secondary schools alongside a vocational performing arts college making it a great location to raise a family.

Voted number in places to live in Leeds, Horsforth is highly recognised for its range an amenities and liveable qualities. The popular suburb benefits from 1 large high school rated Good by Ofsted alongside 8 primary schools; 4 of which have been labelled Outstanding and the rest considered Good! Horsforth High School has an additional Sixth Form, giving higher education to those aged 16-18. The education system in Horsforth doesn’t stop there, Leeds Trinity University is also located in the heart of Horsforth offering a range of Degree level course, it’s easy to see why it is such a popular area for families.

Moortown is situated between Roundhay and Gledhow and within close proximity to Chapel Allerton and Alwoodley, as a result, there is a wide range of schools in the area. Within a 3 mile radius of Moortown, there are around 20 primary schools to choose from, with 10 of those rated as Outstanding in the most recent Ofsted reports. Moortown and surrounding areas are also home to a number of large secondary schools offering education to ages 11-18 including the Independent Grammer School at Leeds in Alwoodley. Moortown's location as a whole offers an easy commute to Leeds city centre whilst its own range of independent businesses and outdoor areas make it a top spot for families!

When you think Headingley you will most likely think students! Students do account for a large proportion of the Headingley population due to the location of Leeds Becketts University and The University of Leeds. However, thinking a little earlier down the education line Headingley and surrounding areas also offer a number of good schools. With almost 20 primary schools in the area, most of which have received Good or Outstanding in their most recent Ofsted, you won’t be short of choice for your children to start their education journey. There are also a number of high schools in the area and with Leeds City College and 3 large universities within close proximity, Headingley has a lot to offer in terms of education and amenities.
