ROAR up to the Beer Festival this September!
The Wetherby Lions are an amazing charitable organisation. They not only work with many different charities but they also offer support with local issues.
Not to boast or anything but, did you know they are the largest and most successful non-government funded charity organisation. Very impressive.
We will be working alongside the Wetherby Lions this September at the Wetherby Lions Beer Festival in support of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance!
Wetherby Lion’s Beer Festival at the St. James Church rooms on Church Street.
Friday 14th September 6-10pm
Saturday 15th September 12-8pm
This is not an event to be missed so mark your calendars and come along. There will be music, craft beers, food and entertainment. Not to worry if you’re not a beer drinker there is also a prosecco and cider bar, something for everyone at this great family event. We will be there helping out at the bar so look out for us and come say hello.
To keep both of Yorkshires air ambulances in the air they need £12,000 per day so it’s definitely a cause worth supporting. Although we hope you never need them, they need our support to provide their services.
In Yorkshire we have beautiful rural spaces and challenges such as the three peaks, a vast motorway network and densely populated areas, we would be lost without them. The air ambulance is hard at work getting patients the fast, crucial medical care they need.
The Wetherby Lions have events on all through the year, something for everyone to enjoy so please keep a lookout for upcoming events and get involved.
The Lions is mostly made up of volunteers that kindly offer their free time to help their community, so if you would like to help out and become a lion or you need support in a local project call the lions on: 0845 833 9529 or visit their website https://www.wetherbylions.org/
