Manning Stainton has supported a popular village flower show on the outskirts of Leeds.
The Moortown branch of the area’s leading estate agency sponsored the 70th Shadwell Flower, Vegetable and Craft Show to the tune of £250 through its dedicated community fund which helps numerous worthwhile causes across West and North Yorkshire.
The annual event, organised by the Shadwell Horticultural Society, attracted hundreds of exhibits and displays along with trade stalls selling plants and homemade produce. The show is a key date in the diary for stall holders and visitors alike who turned out in large numbers despite the disappointing weather.
Show Manager Susan Frost says: ‘This is very much a traditional village show which brings the whole community together for a fun packed afternoon. As usual, there were lots of stalls, refreshment areas and any number of attractions to keep everyone entertained.
‘However, the event takes a lot or organising and incurs significant expenses so the generous support of our members and local companies such as Manning Stainton is very much appreciated. I would also like to acknowledge the support of our local councillors.’
Louise Lawrence, Manager of the Moortown branch of Manning Stainton adds: ‘The annual flower show is a wonderful, colourful occasion and is a great celebration of village life. It is vital that the event continues to flourish which is why we were so happy to lend our support.
‘As a company, we take great pride in helping worthwhile organisations that play such an important role within the local community. In 2015 we helped over 100 such groups, with donations exceeding £65,000.’
The Moortown branch of Manning Stainton is open 7 days a week and the team is ready to take customer calls from 8am – 8pm every day. It is among 19 Residential Sales and Lettings branches across West and North Yorkshire helping people move.
