A raffle prize donated by Manning Stainton as part of its Community Support Programme has helped raise hundreds of pounds for a local primary school.
The Pudsey and Horsforth branches of the area’s leading estate agent joined forces to provide a fantastic Samsung Galaxy tablet for the Calverley Church of England Primary School Annual Spring Fayre which was won by 5-year-old Ruben Dinsdale.
The Fayre raised over £7,000 with all the proceeds going towards sports and language resources which will be of great benefit to all the pupils says Head Teacher Bob Curran.
‘All the money we raise through the sterling efforts of the Friends of Calverley CE School and the generous support of parents, staff and community-minded companies like Manning Stainton is used to enhance the learning experience of our wonderful pupils.
‘Last year we used the money to create a new central library which has proved a tremendous addition to our facilities,’ he says.
Sarah Joseph, Manager of the Manning Stainton branch in Horsforth visited the school with John Putsman from the company’s Pudsey branch and says: ‘It was great to call into at the school and present Ruben with his prize.
‘We also had the chance to see the amazing new library and witness first-hand how the money raised at last year’s event was spent.’
The Horsforth and Pudsey branches of Manning Stainton are open seven days a week and the team is ready to take customer calls from 8am – 8pm. They are among 19 Residential Sales and Lettings branches across West and North Yorkshire helping people move.
