As one of Leeds most popular suburbs, Garforth has lots on offer when it comes to food.
Here are four of our favourite restaurants in Garforth.
Miller & Carter
Miller & Carter is a steak house with a real passion for their menu, and the fantastic, high grade British and Irish beef which is on it. In a recent review the Yorkshire Evening Post said “The steak at Miller & Carter Steakhouse in Garforth isn’t good (bear with me). To call it good would like referring to an Aston Martin DB9 as ‘a bit sporty.”
On the menu you’ll find six variations of steaks, all cooked to order and garnished with a variety of homemade sides. You’ll be welcomed by a friendly team who are happy to accommodate all visitors.
“We had been meaning to come to here for a long time, just wish we had! Excellent food and service by Ben. Polite, efficient and charismatic. The whole visit was a joy. Super freshly prepared food well presented. We will be back x”
Pride & Produce
Taking inspiration for its name from the Jane Austin classic, Pride & Produce is a popular café, which is the favourite of many locals. Although under two years old, their welcoming, community focused approach has seen them become one of the premiere destinations for many in the area. On their menu, you’ll find a welcoming array of dishes, catering for breakfast and lunch, including freshly made “artisan sandwiches” such as their Gascoigne sandwich, which is their take on a croquet monsieur (York ham and Cheese in a griddled bloomer.)
“Popped in today just for a quick cuppa. Was greated with a lovely welcome. A smile; A hello; A wonderful atmosphere. Ended up eating and had a BLT. It was beautiful and I would really go back again for another. Thank you P&P . I will see u soon.”
La Bella Vita
La Bella Vita is popular for its mouth-watering menu, which offers a mix of traditional and contemporary Italian dishes. Sourcing their meat from Sykes Farm a Yorkshire based farm, they have a passion for local produce and put real thought into how they use it!
On their menu are a plethora of imaginative dishes, including Penne alla Tarantina - Penne pasta cooked with pieces of fresh cod, greenland prawns, sun dried tomatoes, garlic, parsley, white wine, tomato sauce and cream.
“Me and my husband came here for the first time and we absolutely loved it, can't believe I've never been, we don't live too far away so I think we have found a new restaurant we will visit often! Food was good, and service was great, friendly staff and the interior of the restaurant is lovely! We will be coming back.”
Aagrah has become a well-known chain since Mohammed Sabir opened his first restaurant in 1977, with the aim of presenting authentic Indian cuisine throughout the Yorkshire region. This family run restaurant even caters for small to large outdoor events.
On their menu are a vast amount of dishes from your traditional favourites such as a Korma or a Madras, to some specialities including a lamb achar, which is an awards winning dish of theirs with garlic, coriander, yoghurt, onions, tomatoes and pickled spices.
“I've been coming to the Aagrah in Garforth since I was a boy with my family and I'm always excited to visit this restaurant. The authentic quality of the food is unrivalled and the dining experience has always been spot on. Best Indian restaurant in Leeds.”
