The Guiseley branch of Manning Stainton was delighted to sponsor Yeadon Cricket Club’s annual bonfire and firework display.
Thousands of people packed into the club’s High Street ground making the evening a runaway success, raising much needed funds for the community based club.
Chairman David Summerscales, said: ‘People turned out in huge numbers from far and wide and clearly had a great time in a safe and well organised environment.
‘I would like to say a sincere thank you to all the volunteers who worked so hard to build the bonfire and set up the event and to Manning Stainton for their generous sponsorship.’
In addition to the bonfire and firework display there was a bar-b –cue and light stall in aid of local dementia support group Memory Lane Activity and Day Centre.
Matthew Pank, Manager of the Manning Stainton branch on The Green in Guiseley, said: ‘At Manning Stainton communities are at the heart of everything we do which is why we were so pleased to support Yeadon Cricket Club and help make their bonfire event as successful as possible.
‘We also enjoyed working with them on their summer beer and music festival and look forward to supporting them again in the future.’
In the last 12 months Manning Stainton has donated in excess of £50,000 to over 50 clubs, schools and other worthwhile organisations through its on-going Community Support Programme. Other local beneficiaries have included Guiseley Greens under 8’s football team, the Guiseley Christmas Lights Appeal and Rawdon Cricket Club.
