Manning Stainton has kitted out cricket mad youngsters with smart new playing shirts.
The Rothwell branch of the area’s leading estate agency sponsored 40 shirts for the junior section at Methley Cricket Club through its ongoing Community Support Programme.
The club runs six junior teams from Under 9’s to Under 17’s who play matches in the Wetherby, Leeds and Heavy Woollen junior leagues. They also have weekly coaching sessions at the ground on Little Church Lane.
David Winter, one of the volunteer coaches at the community-based club, says: ‘The boys are absolutely thrilled with their new shirts, complete with the club badge, and you can see the sense of pride when they wear them.
‘This is all down to the generous support of Manning Stainton to whom everyone at the club wishes to extend a really big thank you.’
Gerry Downs, Manager of the Manning Stainton branch on Marsh Street in Rothwell adds: ‘Methley Cricket Club play such an important role in the community by providing a safe and enjoyable environment for local children to learn to play cricket and develop lifelong friendships with their team mates. We are really pleased to be supporting them on this journey.’
Manning Stainton has donated in excess of £50,000 to over 50 clubs, schools and other worthwhile organisations in the last 12 months through its Community Support Programme. Other local beneficiaries have included Woodlesford Primary School, Haigh Road Infant School and Carlton Cricket Club.
The company’s Rothwell branch is open seven days a week and the team is ready to take customer calls from 8am-8pm every day. It is one of 19 Residential Sales and Lettings branches across West and North Yorkshire helping people move.
