Manning Stainton provided a festive hamper packed with goodies to help raise funds for a local school.
The hamper was the star raffle prize at the annual Christmas Fair at Cookridge Holy Trinity Primary School, one of a number of fundraising initiatives organised by the hardworking Parent Teachers Association throughout the year.
Other attractions at the fair included ‘roll-a-coin’, ‘splat-the-rat’ and ‘race the reindeer’, as well as a lucky dip and chocolate tombola. There was also various stalls selling Christmas gifts.
Natalie Drake, Chair of the PTA, said: ‘The event was a great success and the perfect way to start the festive season.
‘The raffle proved particularly popular and this was definitely due to the fabulous prizes up for grabs including the hamper kindly donated by Manning Stainton. We are extremely grateful to them for their generous support.’
The fair was supported by the Adel and Horsforth branches of the area’s leading estate agent as part of its on-going Community Support Programme.
Helen Carter, Branch Coordinator at Manning Stainton on New Road Side in Horsforth, said: ‘It was lovey to see so many parents and friends in attendance and the big turnout meant lots of money was raised which will be used for the benefit of the children.’
Meanwhile, Sabrina Hundal, a Sales Negotiator at the company’s branch on Otley Road in Adel, added: ‘We have had a very busy time supporting lots of school fundraising fairs in and around the local area in the lead up to Christmas. They have all been wonderful occasions and a real credit to those involved in the organisation.’
Through its Community Support Programme Manning Stainton has donated in excess of £50,000 to over 100 schools, clubs and other worthwhile organisations in the last 12 months. Other local beneficiaries have included The Lighthouse School, Horsforth Junior Football Club, Cookridge Primary School and Horsforth Hall Park Cricket Club.
The Horsforth and Adel branches of Manning Stainton are open seven days a week and the team is ready to take customer calls from 8am-8pm every day. They are part of a 19 strong network of Residential Sales and Lettings branches across West and North Yorkshire helping people move.
