Manning Stainton was delighted to support the first ever summer fayre at Haigh Road Infant School in Rothwell.
The local branch of the area’s leading estate agent worked closely with the newly formed Parent Teachers Association (PTA) to promote the fundraising event by displaying colourful boards around the town.
The organisers were blessed with beautiful weather which ensured a bumper turnout from children, parents and friends of the school. A wide range of stalls and activities including face painting and ‘beat the goalie’ proved popular and there was even a visit from the local fire brigade, complete with engine. Meanwhile the bar did a roaring trade from adults seeking refreshment and shelter from the blazing sun.
Louise Boyle, Chair of the PTA, says: ’With this being our first ever fayre we had no idea what to expect but we were absolutely blown away by the support we received from right across the community, including our friends at Manning Stainton. We cannot thank them enough for their generous donation.
‘We are a small school, with limited budgets, so every penny the PTA can raise will have a really positive impact on our children which is why we are now looking at organising other fundraising events.’
Lizzy Pank, a Sales Negotiator at the Manning Stainton branch on Marsh Street in Rothwell adds: ‘I am delighted that the hard work of the PTA has been rewarded with such a successful event and it was an absolute pleasure to lend our support.’
Manning Stainton supported the school through its on-going Community Support Programme which has donated in excess of £50,000 to over 50 clubs, schools and other worthwhile organisations in the last 12 months. Other local beneficiaries have included Woodlesford Primary School, Carlton Cricket Club and Methley Cricket Club.
The company’s Rothwell branch is open seven days a week and the team is ready to take customer calls from 8am-8pm every day. It is one of 19 Residential Sales and Lettings branches across West and North Yorkshire helping people move.
