Manning Stainton has supported the fundraising Christmas Fair at a local school.
The Rothwell branch of the area’s leading estate agent contributed to the cost of a marquee at Robin Hood Primary School as part of its on-going Community Support Programme.
Gerry Downs, Manager of the Manning Stainton branch on Marsh Street in Rothwell, said: ‘We were delighted to lend our support to this event and help ease the costs incurred in staging it.
‘This now means that more of the money raised can be used directly for the benefit of the children.’
The event was organised by the Parent Teachers Association (PTA) and was extremely well supported by parents, pupils and families who spent generously at the many stalls and attractions which had been arranged.
Head Teacher Sara Harris, said: ‘The fair is the culmination of an incredible amount of hard work by the PTA and I am thrilled to announce that the money raised will be used to purchase additional laptops to enhance the learning experiences of our amazing boys and girls.
‘I would also like to say a special thank you to Manning Stainton and the other local companies who answered our call for assistance funding the marquee. This made a big difference in terms of the number of stalls we were able to accommodate.’
In the last 12 months Manning Stainton has donated in excess of £50,000 to over 100 schools, clubs and community groups. Local beneficiaries have also included Carlton Cricket Club, Rothwell Haigh Road Primary School, Methley Cricket Club and Woodlesford Primary School.
The company’s Rothwell branch is open seven days a week and the team is ready to take customer calls from 8am-8pm every day. It is one of 19 Residential Sales and Lettings branches across West and North Yorkshire helping people move.
