Manning Stainton has sponsored stylish tracksuit tops for a local junior football team ahead of the new season.
The Wortley branch of the area’s leading estate agency used its on-going Community Support Programme to kit out Wortley Juniors FC Under 15’s, one of the most ambitious and progressive junior teams in West Leeds.
The group of talented footballers first played together as Under 7’s and now, 8 years on, they are ready for the their second season in Division 2 of the Garforth League. The team hold weekly training sessions at Farnley Academy and play their home games at the former Wortley High School on Blue Hill Lane.
Team manager Ashley Kearsley says: ‘It has been a real pleasure working with the lads from such a young age and watching them develop their footballing skills They have also enjoyed plenty of success on the field including winning the league and cup double in 2015/16.
‘Manning Stainton has been a big part of this journey having sponsored us in previous seasons and we are all extremely grateful for their continued support.’
Sharron Kaur, a Sales Negotiator at the company’s branch on Lower Wortley Road adds: ‘Clubs like Wortley play such an important role within the community by providing sporting opportunities for our young people. As a company with its own roots firmly in the community we are delighted to lend our support and wish the lads well for the forthcoming season.’
Manning Stainton has donated in excess of £50,000 to over 50 clubs, schools and other worthwhile organisations in the last 12 months through its Community Support Programme. Other local beneficiaries have included Lower Wortley Primary School, West Leeds Juniors FC and Farnley FC.
