The Guiseley and Horsforth branches of Manning Stainton teamed up to sponsor the recent Rawdon Cricket Club Beer and Music Festival.
Perfect weather helped attract a large crowd to the club’s Larkfield Road ground who enjoyed a choice of over 20 real ales and ciders and a varied programme of musical entertainment from local groups.
The popular annual event raises vital funds for the cricket club who run 3 senior teams and 10 junior teams, from under 9’s to under 17’s. A raffle was also held in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
Sarah Joseph, Manager of the Manning Stainton branch in Horsforth, says; ‘The festival is a true community event that requires a lot of hard work from a large number of willing volunteers. Judging by the attendance their efforts have clearly been rewarded.’
Manning Stainton sponsored the event through its on-going Community Support Programme which helps groups, clubs, schools and other worthwhile organisations in the local area and beyond.
Matthew Pank, Branch Co-ordinator at the company’s Guiseley branch, says: ‘As a company with its roots firmly in the local community we were pleased to be able to lend our support which of course included calling in to sample the delights on offer!’
Club secretary John Walker adds: ‘Our friends at Manning Stainton are great supporters of the club and for that we are extremely grateful.
‘However, I would also like to thank the festival committee and all the other volunteers for their help and of course the people who once again turned out in such large numbers to make the event a tremendous success.’
The Guiseley and Horsforth branches of Manning Stainton are open seven days a week and the team is ready to take customer calls from 8am – 8pm. They are among 19 Residential Sales and Lettings branches across West and North Yorkshire helping people move.
