Local amateur football team Farnley Sports are ready to kick off 2018 in style thanks to Manning Stainton.
The Wortley branch of the area’s leading estate agent has provided the team with a new kit as part of its on-going Community Support Programme through which more than £50,000 has been donated to over 100 good causes in the last 12 months.
Darren Hullah, Manager of Farnley Sports who now play in division two of the Yorkshire Amateur League following back to back promotions, said: ‘All the lads are extremely grateful to Manning Stainton for their generous support and can’t wait to wear the new strip. We have had a couple of really successful seasons and are aiming to consolidate our position in this higher division.’
He added: ‘The costs of running a local sports team are increasing all the time and we are becoming ever more reliant on the support of local businesses in order to survive. Unfortunately more and more teams are going to the wall which is bad news for everybody.’
Nicola Dresser, Manager of the Manning Stainton branch on Lower Wortley Road, said: ‘We had no hesitation in agreeing to sponsor the kit once Darren made the initial approach.
‘As a community minded company we fully appreciate the role that teams like Farnley Sports play and it is therefore important that we rally round and do whatever we can to help.’
In addition to Farnley Sports, Manning Stainton has supported Lower Wortley Primary School, Wortley Juniors FC Under 15’s and the Wortley and Farnley Parish Christmas Tree Festival.
Manning Stainton is open seven days a week and the team is ready to take customer calls from 8am-8pm every day. It is one of 19 Residential Sales and Lettings branches across West and North Yorkshire helping people move.
