Local Dog-friendly cafes and walks!
At Manning Stainton, we know that part of what makes a house a home is your family. In particular your pets. If you are a dog owner here is a quick guide to our favourite dog walking spots and pup friendly cafes in your local area.
If you're after a short stroll, a walk on the stray in Harrogate could be perfect for you, this park is central to Harrogate so be mindful of the roads that border the stray. Why not pop into Filmore and Union on your way, the staff are always ready to welcome you and your four-legged friend. Filmore and Union cater for vegan and gluten-free diet preferences.
This walk is 4.5 miles and is circular, so it's very easy to follow and picturesque. You may encounter cattle on your walk so be sure to keep your dog on a lead whilst around livestock. This walk should take you around 2 hours to complete. If you fancy some traditional pub grub at the end of your walk you should call into The Masons in Hopperton. With four and a half stars on Trip Advisor, The Masons are very welcoming and tables are complete with gravy bones to keep your dog entertained while you enjoy the menu.
If you like something a bit more adventurous this walk is perfect for you, it will take you around 1.5 hours to complete. This walk is about an hour from Wakefield by car but it's worth the drive. It will take you from Hardcastle Craggs to Hebden Mill. Expect muddy paths depending on weather and you may have to cross a shallow stream or two. The Robin Hood Inn is a short drive away, dogs are welcome in the pool room and bar area and towels for mucky pups are generously provided.
