With the summer holidays in full swing, a fantastical event is coming to Kirkstall Abbey on 19th and 20th August.
Starting on Saturday morning and continuing over the course of the weekend, the historic ruins of Kirkstall Abbey will be transformed into Kirkstall Fairy Tale Kingdom. With a jam packed, fun filled schedule of fairy-tale inspired activities and events, this promises to be a unique experience for all!
Sneaky Experience, who is organising the weekend, said “The magical creatures of the fairy tale world have tumbled into Kirkstall Abbey for this very special weekend in the summer, where your favourite Fairy Tale Characters all gather to celebrate the tales that intertwine and weave them together.”
What’s more, parents and children alike are invited to attend the event in fairy tale inspired costume. Sneaky Experience urge visitors to be as creative as they like and choose their favourite fictional character, so we’re expecting to see lots of little Elsas, Harry Potters and much more!
Over the course of the weekend, there will be lots on offer, ranging from a Puppet Show with Woody to Hook & Peter Pan Panto-style performances. For the full schedule of activities, click here.
Kirkstall Abbey is accessible by train, bus and car, with regular trains from Leeds city centre to Kirkstall Forge train station.
Tickets cost £5.50 per person and can be booked at www.wegottickets.com/sneakyexperience.
