How to make a feature wall
A feature wall is a great way to make your spaces feel more put together, it will draw the eye and help you get that interior magazine look.
Feature walls can be anything from art collages, bold paint choices, wallpaper and even simple lighting changes.
The easiest places to make feature walls are mantle pieces or chimney breasts, kitchen shelves and bedroom headboards.
Feature walls don’t have to be expensive! You are only painting one wall so you won’t need a whole tin of paint you could use a small or sample pot. The same can be said for wallpaper, if you are making over a chimney breast you may only need three sheets of wallpaper, depending on size.
If you decide to use a material with reflective qualities it’s a great idea to install lights into shelves that could be part of your wall. This way you can maximise the effect of your chosen material and bring warmth into the room.
If you’ve got a creative flair why not try some artwork, it may seem daunting but you can use simple techniques to create a professional finish. One of my favourite ways is to use drip art. You can use whatever colours you like, have a look at how to drip wall here.
