This evening, Thursday, 29th June will see the long awaited opening of his Harrogate restaurant. As well as serving lunch seven days a week, the new restaurant will have an all year roof terrace, which will be perfect for summer.
Found on Parliament Street, where Bar and Grill once was, the venture from the TV celebrity comes shortly after the successful opening of his Leeds restaurant, which has since received lots of positive reviews, Edward, visited the Leeds restaurant in June and said,
"What's great about this place is the way Gino and his team have brought Italian authenticity to the heart of Leeds. So many times the ingredients and recipes get Anglicised in Italian type restaurants but not here. Many of the staff we encountered were Italian which helped create a 'buzzy' atmosphere. Decor tasteful in soft wood tones and green/blue upholstery. Can recommend the lobster and seafood linguini and the chestnut cake. Delicious."
As well as the Leeds restaurant, D'Acampo has opened restaurants in Manchester and London's Euston Station.
With a capacity of 150 over two floors, the restaurant includes an open kitchen, deli bar, Prosecco Bar and of course the sure-to-be-popular roof terrace.
On the menu, you'll find an array of food inspired by Gino's home of Naples, in Southern Italy.
Commenting on the opening, Gino said “After the success of My Restaurant in Leeds, I decided that it was Harrogate’s time to get a taste of Gino. I visited Harrogate for the very first time 7 years ago and fell in love with the town’s people, its elegance and its charm. Harrogate is very cool, I want to be part of it!"
