Five year old Rayyan Hussain’s artistic skills have helped him win a prize in a drawing competition organised by Manning Stainton which attracted over 100 entries from school children across the county.
Rayyan, a year one pupil at Roundhay Primary, impressed the judges of the Draw your Dream Home competition with his colourful gingerbread house design featuring sweets, buns and a Manning Stainton sold board!
His prize was a £50 one4all multi-store gift card and the school received a cheque for £300 which they plan to use for the benefit of the children.
Head of Roundhay Primary, Kelly Wood, said: ‘We are focussing heavily on reading during the current term and the money Rayyan has won for the school will be used to purchase some new take home books .
‘For such a young child to have the imagination to come up with a drawing like this is amazing and we are all so proud of him.’
Tori Titheridge, a Sales Negotiator at the Manning Stainton branch in Oakwood, added: ‘It was a real pleasure to call into the school and present Rayyan with his prize and see the look on his face when he found out he had won.
‘We are extremely grateful to all the schools who took part and based on the overall standard it is clear that a lot of time and effort has gone into producing some really wonderful artwork.’
Manning Stainton organised the competition as part of its on-going programme of support for schools, clubs and groups within the communities in which it operates.
The Oakwood branch is open seven days a week and the team is ready to take customer calls from 8am-8pm every day. It is one of 19 Residential Sales and Lettings branches across West and North Yorkshire helping people move.
