Keeping the little ones entertained for two weeks can be quite the task in itself. To make your life a little easier this Easter we’ve had a look at some egg-citing events going on across Leeds, Wakefield and Wetherby to help burn some of that energy!
Rainbow Factory, Farsley
Rainbow Factory is a unique experience making those much-loved tales come to life. This Easter they are offering a range of workshops and activities all ages. Your kids can enjoy Peter Pan and pals on his Easter Eggstravaganza; with interactive theatre, crafts and sensory play, or help Willy Wonka retrieve his secret recipe in a series of messy play and chocolaty activities. Meanwood Valley Urban Farm, Meanwood
Meanwood Valley Farm is the perfect place for kids to interact with some furry friends. This Easter join them on the 20th April between 10:30- 3 pm for their Easter Extravaganza! You can expect egg hunts, crafts, egg and spoon races, hook a duck and plenty more to keep the little ones entertained for hours!

Easter Fun Day, Roundhay
From 2-5pm on April 20th take the whole family down to Roundhay park for a fabulous Easter fun day! Everyone is welcome to this drop-in event; you can expect crafts, treasure hunts, bouncy castles and a host of homemade refreshments. The event is free; any money for refreshments will be donated to BLISS, a charity for babies born sick and premature.

Warrior Crafts and Object handling, Leeds City Museum
Will your little ones fancy a little less Easter bunny and a bit more warrior? Take them down to Leeds City Museum this Easter for some warrior themed fun. Honey Pottery, Horsforth
Honey Pottery is the perfect place to let the kids enjoy messy play, whilst keeping your own house sparkly clean. Take your pick from kids clay building, slime making or sewing classes. With various dates available there is something for everyone! Make sure you call to reserve your child’s place. Need some much-needed respite? Why not call a babysitter, grab some friends and a bottle of wine and book onto the adult's pottery painting in the evening!

Wetherby Spy Mission Treasure Trail, Wetherby
Wanting to head outdoors this Easter? The Wetherby Spy Trail is the perfect way to get kids away from their screens and into the outdoors but without the inevitable boredom. The Wetherby Spy Mission Trail takes you all over the town, taking around 2 hours to complete. The trail begins down by the River Wharfe, before taking a look around the Georgian bathhouse. This self-guided tour allows you and your kids to solves clues and explore Wetherby at the same time.

The Laser Easter Adventure, Stockeld Park
Laser Adventure is a great way for kids to get outdoors and have a runaround, whilst having a blast doing it. Situated in Stockeld Park, this purpose built woodland arena is the perfect setting for a game of laser tag. With obstacles to navigate and teammates to support, the kids will find themselves immersed in the fun. The laser tag emits harmless infra-red beams so there is no pain and no paint like paintballing. Anyone over the ages of 7 can give it a go and it will definitely tire them out ready for an early night!

The Easter Adventure, Stockheld Park
Stockeld Park has a lot to offer this Easter it’s definitely worth a trip or two. Why not take your little ones to explore the Enchanted Forest, get lost in the maze, or give go karting a go. There is also some extra special Easter events including a giant egg hunt, hatch it chicks, circus shows and the Easter bunny may even make an appearance. The Hepworth, Wakefield
There’s something for everyone at the Hepworth this Easter holidays, including many free family event to get involved with, choose between art pods, ceramic journeys and sculpting and many more. On Monday 22nd April The Hepworth is also hosting an Easter themed afternoon tea, serving Easter sandwiches, scone and treats and a special surprise from the Easter bunny. Easter Ears, Wakefield Museum
This free drop-in session at Wakefield Museum lets your little ones have a day in the life of the Easter bunny or any animal they think is up to the job. This messy play will get their creativity flowing, creating their version of Easter bunnies ears to take home as a souvenir. The museum also has some exciting displays and activities to make a full day of fun. The Easter Ears event takes place on Tuesday 9th 1-5pm, whilst the museum is open throughout the holidays.

Cadburys Easter Egg Hunt, Nostell Priory and Parkland
Why not explore Nostell Priory this Easter and join the Cadbury Easter egg. This is a great chance to explore the gardens and let the kids burn off some energy in the woodland play areas. To start your adventure enters through the gardens entrance and head to the start tent and let the hunt commence. The event runs from the 19th – 22nd April 10-3pm and is an additional £2.50 to general admission fees.
