Supporting the local community is all in a sleighs’ work for Manning Stainton.
The Garforth branch of the area’s leading estate agent was only too pleased to provide Ninelands Primary School with a colourful sleigh to make sure Santa arrived at its annual Christmas Fair on time and in the style he is accustomed to!
Parents and friends also turned out in large numbers and spent generously at a range of stalls which had been set up in the school hall. Among the attractions was a cake stall, a lucky dip, a bumper tombola, various stalls selling Christmas gifts and a raffle for which Manning Stainton had also donated a prize.
The fair was organised by The Friends of Ninelands Primary School (FON) and the money raised from this and other events throughout the year will be used to purchase new dining tables and chairs for use by pupils in Key Stage 2.
Head Teacher Jillian Sabourn said: ‘The Christmas Fair is the perfect way to start the festive season and I am extremely grateful to the FON for all their hard work in making it such a success. All the money they raise is used for the benefit of our wonderful children.
‘Manning Stainton also deserve a big thank you for once again supporting the school and making sure the children had the chance to meet Santa.’
Andrea Bentley, the Branch Coordinator at Manning Stainton on Main Street, said: ‘It was really lovely to be able to support the event and see first-hand the excitement on the faces of the children when Santa arrived.
‘We have forged really strong links with the school through our Community Support Programme and long may this continue.’
In the last 12 months the company has donated in excess of £50,000 to over 50 schools, community groups and other worthwhile organisations. Local beneficiaries have also included South Milford Primary School, Garforth Tigers ARLFC and Sherburn Hungate Primary School.
The company’s Garforth branch is open seven days a week and the team is ready to take customer calls from 8am-8pm every day. It is one of 19 Residential Sales and Lettings branches across West and North Yorkshire helping people move.
