Water Lane Boathouse

Another Leeds based bar opened by the owners of Belgrave Music Hall. Situated on Canal Wharf, this newly refurbished bar has sat there since the early 1800’s.

Originally built to function as a shipment warehouse for the Leeds – Liverpool canal, this is slowly becoming a favourite of the people of Leeds.

Boasting a large outdoor seating area and a vast menu of food and beverages… who wouldn’t want to be sat down by the canal in the sunshine this summer?

Dry Dock

A bar, on a boat, on land, in the centre of town? If you’re not familiar with Leeds’s famous Dry Dock pub, that might all sound a little bit ridiculous. But this refurbished river barge has been a mainstay of Leeds since 1993, when it was transported from the River Aire, plonked down, and turned into a pub just metres away from Leeds Beckett’s city campus.

Initially you may think you have just had one too many beers, when you look over board and see grass rather than water, but this strange idea for a pub has been a massive hit with locals and tourists alike, winning the Best Pub Design Award in 1995 and remaining extremely popular ever since.

So, why not head down to Leeds city centre and enjoy a drink in the sunshine aboard Leeds’s legendary Dry Dock.
