4 Beautiful Yorkshire Spots for Valentines Weekend

If you fancy getting out in nature this valentines weekend take a look at our top 4 spots for beautiful sights to see and great recommendations for food.

The forecast for Leeds Weather on Valentines weekend looks mostly cloudy with highs of 7 degrees. Keep an eye on the forecast, but don’t let the rain stop you!

Hardcastle Crags

Hardcastle Crags

For memorable photos of the beautiful Yorkshire landscape why not visit Hardcastle Crags and take a walk along the streams and rivers. Their Café will be open for hot drinks and cakes so you can warm up after your walk. There are a number of different trails to take, for routes and downloadable maps Click Here.

The Robin Hood Inn is close by and serves a great selection of hearty grub after your walk.

Ripley Castle

Ripley Castle

Riley castle is stunning and there are plenty of activities, with acres of parkland to explore and resident deer. If you want something a bit more adventurous Live for today have a number of activities at Ripley Castle such as Zorbing and Archery.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite the best place for local food is The Boars Head. This Pub is part of the Ripley Castle Estate, it’s cosy and close and has a great menu, with excellent reviews on Trip Advisor.

Bolton Abbey

Bolton Abbey

It goes without saying Bolton Abbey is one of the best locations for lots to see in one place. There is the Priory church and ruins, woodland walks, stepping stones across the river and a waterfall, named Simons Seat. The waterfall walk is long, but definitely worth it if you fancy a challenge. For details of the route and more about Bolton Abbey Click Here.

The Devonshire Arms is the best place for food when visiting Bolton Abbey, take a look at their menus Click Here.

Temple Newsam

Temple Newsam

Explore the grounds of Temple Newsam, the Lakeside Gardens and the Rhododendron Walk. Temple Newsam has courtyard tea rooms for a cup of tea and cake.

If you’re stopping for dinner Franco’s in Colton, in our opinion it’s the best Italian in the area. To take a look at the menu Click Here.

Have a lovely time!
