3. LS6 Beer Festival – 9th May
The much loved LS6 Beer festival is returning this year; with beer, food and music spread across 3 days, hopefully under the bright sunshine at Left Bank Leeds. Grab your friends and get your tickets- even better it’s all for charity.
4. Leeds international Festival- 2nd-12th May
Leeds international Festival launched by Leeds Bid is an event of creativity and innovation. A combination of speakers and performers to draw upon that creative spirit make this an event not to be missed.
5. Leeds half Marathon -12th May
Whether you’re a runner or a supporter the Leeds Half Marathon is a lively event, make sure you get behind all those raising money for worthy causes battling 13 miles of Leeds landscape.
6. Heading out- 15th May
Belgrave Music Hall is hosting Heading Out as part of mental health week. Expect live music, stalls, support and a lot more; a great event to get behind.
7. Emily Atack- 15th May
She stole the nation's heart on I’m a Celeb with her undeniable sense of humour. Shes now taking to the stage in her first solo comedy show, with the title ‘Talk Thirty to me’ we can only imagine the stories the show will entail, join her at Leeds City Varieties to find out.
8.Unibet Premier League Darts – 16th May
Leeds First Direct Arena is hosting one of the biggest darting events of the year. If you fancy a pint and a good time get your tickets now.
9. The Gin and Rum Festival –17th-18th May
Whether you fancy yourself as a gin connoisseur or if rum is more your thing make your way to Leeds Town Hall on May 17th and 18th. With 60 gins and 60 rums on offer, you won’t be short of choice, whilst their resident DJ will keep you entertained all night long.
10. Pizza and Prosecco festival – May 18th
As the name suggests, indulge yourself in some of the finest pizza and prosecco on the market at Water Lane Boathouse.
11. Leeds Dragon Boat Race- May 19th
Now in its 12th year, The Dragon Boat Race is one of Leeds’ most loved events. As part of Leeds Waterfront festival, The Dragon Boat Race will see hopefuls battle to the finish line, all rowing to raise money for Martin House. It’s great fun to participate in or to watch from the sidelines.
12. Olly Murs- 23rd May
He’s a nation heartthrob and he’s coming to Leeds. Join Olly Murs at Leeds First Direct Arena as part of his 15 date tour. We’re sure your ‘heart will skip a beat’.
13. Slam Dunk – 25th May
If you like a little less Olly Murs and a little more pop punk, Slam dunk festival are making their Temple Newsam debut. The impressive line- up includes acts such as All-time Low and Bullet for My Valentine.
14. Al Murray- 26th May
Everyone’s favourite pub landlord is back, join Al Murray at The City Varieties for some more of his tongue in cheek humour. You can expect his take on Brexit and the state of modern Britain.
15.Rita Ora- May 28th
Rita Ora follows rival judge Olly Murs to Leeds as part of her Phoenix tour, it’s a show not to be missed at Leeds First Direct Arena.
16. Pub in The Park- 31st May -2nd June
