I'm not giving it away..
September 2008
As estate agents report that the housing market continues its dramatic adjustment, our perception of the value of property for sale may still be as we remember – in the good times!
It’s a difficult thing to think we are losing money, and that we are “giving our property away” but for those who are willing to listen there are still some success stories out there.
Just this month we have sold, amongst others, seven houses with multiple bidders and this, in what is suppose to be the toughest housing market for 30 years.
What did all these house sellers have in common? They were highly motivated with a must sell attitude and their willingness to listen to guidance from market experts resulted in quick sales. These people did not “give their properties away”, they just allowed for the adjustment in house prices and have seen success because of it.
I am pleased to also report that the prices of these properties covered the whole spectrum of the market. From a small retirement flat, a two bedroom purpose built apartment, two three bed semi’s, a detached under £500,000 and two Fine and Country properties above £500,000 all saw multiple bidders before selling.
