Ombudsman For Estate Agents Scheme Growth Outstrips Complaints
The number of enquiries about estate agents to the Ombudsman for Estate Agents rose to 8,472 in 2006, an increase of 41 per cent from 2005. This resulted in 586 cases being referred for formal review and resolution, an increase of 18 per cent over 2005 in a year that saw OEA membership rise by 52 per cent to 7,666 offices, but still below the peak of 615 in 2002, when membership was only 4,251 offices.

RICS Housing Market Survey – January 2007
A lack of property on the market has driven up house prices for the fifteenth consecutive month, despite cooling demand, says RICS UK Housing Market Survey.
House prices rose for the fifteenth consecutive month in January but the pace of increase eased back to June levels. 28% more Chartered Surveyors reported a rise than a fall in house prices, down from 36.6% in December.

One in Four Predict Property Price Crash in the Next Year!
Almost one in four (24%), or 11 million UK adults expect property prices to crash within 18 months according to research from Debt Solution Consultancy Thomas Charles, and You-gov. Young Adults, 18-29 were shown to have the least faith in the market, 27% predicting a crash within 18 months, compared to 23% of 30-50 year olds and 21% of over 50’s.
