HIPs Happened !

HIPs became a legal requirement for property for sale with three or more bedrooms on the 10th September.

Home Information Packs, to give them their full title, contain details of the energy efficiency of a home, local searches and proof of ownership (legal title).  This should not give any long term problems for the Wakefield housing market as no upfront costs are involved and there is a good supply of property available for sale in Wakefield at the present time. 

The underlying economic situation in the Wakefield district remains strong with growth being experienced on all fronts.  It is anticipated that all properties on the market for sale will require a HIP by the 1st January 2008.
