At the first time of entry Estate Agent Manning Stainton has achieved top 50 status in the annual Sunday Times “100 BEST SMALL COMPANIES TO WORK FOR” list.Manning Stainton, formed from the merger of two independently successful agencies six years ago, is now one of the Yorkshire region’s best known estate agents with 14branches and 6 specialist departments across Leeds and Wakefield.
Since that time the company has created one new position every two weeks on average, and now employs over 200 people.
Achieving a Top 100 listing follows a rigorous selection procedure across a wide range of criteria – not least of which is a confidential questionnaire completed by staff members and not seen by directors or management.
The Sunday Times commented: -
“These companies represent the very best business practice in companies with fewer than 250 employees. All of them are enlightened places to work with highly motivated employees and inspirational leaders.
Over 87,000 completed questionnaires were received nationally –believed to be the biggest people in work survey conducted within the UK”
Manning Stainton’s Personnel & Development Director Jacquie Howard says the company constantly strives to improve both the benefits package and the working environment for staff: -
“People stay with us and grow with us,” she says. “From the moment they join training is a continual process and key to their role. We actively encourage feedback on training needs and empower staff to deliver what, ultimately, makes Manning Stainton successful – client service!”
“Everyone within the company is justifiably proud of the recognition this award gives us.”
