Oh I do like to be beside the seaside – thanks to Manning Stainton. |
November 2006
When 68-year old Joan Hawksley of Outwood, near Wakefield, wanted to move house and feel the sand between her toes and the bracing Bridlington air to breathe she had just one problem…
Joan’s home had been on the market for some eighteen months with two different estate agents in Wakefield – without so much as a sniff of success, much less sea air!
Urgent measures were called for, as she had spotted a delightful bungalow she wanted to buy in “Brid”.
Joan, who worked for 25 years at the old Farm Stores food processing plant before retiring, decided to let Manning Stainton’s Wakefield branch have a go at generating some interest and selling her home: -
“They had plenty of Sold boards up in this area,” says Joan, “so I thought I’d give them a try…”
“Within a few weeks my house was sold, with three lots of people wanting it! Beverley at Manning Stainton always kept me in touch with what was going on – and was very helpful with forms and things. I found them very good; well, they’ve done alright by me anyway!”
Joan is now happily settled in her new bungalow close to the cliff-tops and keeping in touch with her many old friends in the Wakefield area!
Wakefield sales negotiator Beverley Turner says Joan was a delight to work for: -
“As with all our Wakefield clients, Joan’s property was advertised within all our fourteen branches, and also on our website, www.manningstainton.co.uk, which receives over 10,000 viewings or downloads every day. She’s promised us a regular supply of seaside postcards!”
