When the youngsters of Westroyd Infant School & Nursery in Farsley, Leeds, wrote to ask estate agent Manning Stainton “Please can you find us some houses?” the company couldn’t resist the request.
The result is three smart new playhouses helping to transform the reception playground into a more stimulating and interesting environment for the 4 & 5 year olds. Teaching Assistant Gill Stones explained that the area needed renovation work and a general brightening – with plans for seating areas, gardens to grow plants and vegetables and the addition of general activity and play items.
Said Gill: -
“What the children wanted more than anything else was their own little street of playhouses, and Manning Stainton responded immediately with a very generous donation for which the school is extremely grateful. The playhouses are colourful and robust and will provide years of pleasure for our young pupils.”
Manning Stainton’s Residential Sales Director Jacquie Howard handed the new homes over to an excited group of youngsters and said the company’s Community Fund was formed for exactly this type of local community project.
