Fifty women staff members from right across the Manning Stainton office network raised £5000 for Cancer Research in the annual 5 kilometre “Race for Life” held at Temple Newsam in Leeds recently. And the company has matched their efforts with a further £5000 for this deserving cause. Organiser Debra Speight from Manning Stainton’s Surveys department says many more people from within Manning Stainton had asked to be included but Race for Life organisers had to restrict entries as the run had reached its safety capacity.
“We’re hoping for 60 or even 70 people next year” said Debra “so we’ll be starting entries early next year!”
Flying the flag for Manning Stainton, Kay Duggleby from the Lettings Department finished in overall sixth place beating almost 5000 runners – one place ahead of last year’s effort!
