At the beginning of 2007, branch and head office colleagues at Leeds and Wakefield estate agents , Manning Stainton elected to raise money for a specific charity and to make sure they’d have plenty of fun doing so!
The chosen recipient was the Children’s Heart Surgery Unit at Leeds General Infirmary which for many years has positively transformed the lives of babies and children with heart defects right across West Yorkshire….
A revolutionary new 3D image probe specifically for babies and costing £20,000 was urgently needed by the unit and the company managed that by some margin – handing a cheque for £28,000 to Charity Director Sharon Cheng.
Said Sharon: -
“This donation reflects a lot of hard work from our estate agency friends at Manning Stainton over the past year and it’s been a remarkable achievement. I want to thank them all and they should congratulate themselves in the knowledge that more children will enjoy a better quality of life for their efforts”.
In addition to this important project, the Manning Stainton Community Fund has assisted over thirty other local community initiatives during the past 12 months.
