Residential landlords acroos Leeds are being advised by Letting Agents, Manning Stainton, not to fall victim to the recession by insuring that their rental income is properly protected.

High Court closes Lancashire letting agents
Lancashire-based Saxtons has been closed down by the High Court for the misappropriation of client funds.
In a statement issued by the Insolvency Service today, the group is accused of failing to pay rental payments collected on behalf of landlords and failing to refund deposits collected from tenants.

From 1st October 2008, it will be a legal requirement to provide all new tenants in England and Wales with an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)
The law states that tenants must be given the opportunity to inspect the EPC prior to taking out a tenancy agreement.
