HIPs are Happening...

Well it is for some people planning to put their property for sale in Leeds, Wakefield and Wetherby as we approach the next Home Information Pack (HIP) deadline on the 1st August 2007.

The 1st August sees the first new deadline for the introduction of Home Information Packs for properties for sale with four or more bedrooms.  So far, there is no news from the Government that a change in Prime Minister will see a change of heart in relation to Home Information Packs and Energy Efficiency Reports.  As things stand at the moment any properties coming for sale on or after the 1st August 2007 will have to order a Home Information Pack including an Energy efficiency Report, however, this will not affect the speed at which a property for sale can come onto the market.  Merely having ordered a HIP and Energy Efficiency Report is sufficient to put the property for sale.
