There is much doom and gloom in the national press at the moment, who would have us believe that nothing is selling.
This could not be further from the truth for the Fine and Country division of Manning Stainton based at Moortown in North Leeds.
July has seen sales reach close to record levels as demand for realistically priced executive homes remains steady. The executive property belt between North Leeds and Wetherby is one of the most expensive and exclusive areas in Yorkshire and demand to live there continues with multiple bids being received on several properties.
No one can deny that there has been an economic downturn but the economy in Leeds is holding up well and some of our sales have been to relocating executives who are taking up senior positions in Leeds’ commercial world.
“Essential ingredients for generating a successful sale at Fine and Country are quality, location and a realistic price” says Andrew Butler, Director of Fine and Country in Leeds. Andrew continues “Whilst we are not simply able to achieve the prices which were seen at the start of 2007, we are certainly seeing continued demand from buyers who either have cash or have high deposits and are not being affected by the Credit Crunch”.
