Wakefield Sea Cadets Get Computerised
13th September 2007
The Wakefield sea cadets were given a huge boost by Wakefield-based Airedale Computer Recycling (ACR) in the form of a set of generously donated refurbished computers.
The Wakefield sea cadets, who have been in operation for 62 years, were said to be extremely greatful for the generous donation and said the computers would help in their day to day tasks.
ACR's development Manager Keith Sorrell said,
“It's a pleasure to help. We support many charitable and worthy causes and especially young peoples groups like this.”
ACR provide a free computer recycling service to the Wakefield District and a collection & recycling service to a number of organisations, including the NHS and local companies, to ensure that all data is eradicated from computers.
Another of ACR’s primary aims is to keep as much rubbish as possible out of landfill by recycling and refurbishing computers wherever possible.
