Third Phase Of Development Complete At £3 Million Former Colliery Site

Wakefield’s local economy has received a significant boost following the completion of a 42,950 sq ft, high specification industrial premises

The scheme, which has transformed a former colliery in Featherstone, is set to create up to 86 jobs when fully occupied and is being completed by regeneration specialist, Priority Sites.
 
The £3 million Innovation Square scheme is the third phase of speculative development on the Green Lane site.
 
Interest in the new development has been extremely high, with 70% of units already under offer and enquiries coming in from numerous companies looking to expand or relocate to the District.
 
The development comprises of 10 high specification industrial units, ranging in size from 2,000-10,000 sq ft, with the option to combine the individual units into larger premises.
 
The new commercial accommodation, which is available to rent or buy, draws on Wakefield’s excellent transport links, with the M1, A1 and M62 roads being easily accessible, which in turn has contributed to the popularity of the scheme.
