Investment Brings More Comfort to Soft Furnishings Maker

Yorkshire soft furnishings manufacturer Elizabethan has secured a significant investment to allow it to expand.
Based in Wakefield, Elizabethan styles itself as The Comfort Company and makes a wide range of cushions and pillows for a number of retailers in the UK.
The company employs more than 30 staff at its premises on the Monckton Road Industrial Estate and will use the new funds to invest in new plant and machinery and further expansion of its premises following a significant growth in the business.
Elizabethan's ,Managing director, Andy Bastock, said:
"This investment comes at a very exciting time for our business and will enable us to take Elizabethan through to the next stage of its development.
"The company has grown significantly over the past couple of years through our commitment to top-quality products and excellent customer service, and this ethos remains at the core of our company's success."
The funding has come from Partnership Investment Finance (PIF) – a £37m investment fund aimed at supporting growing businesses in Yorkshire – and Enterprise Ventures.
PIF investment manager, Ondrej Okeke, said:
"Elizabethan's management team have created an excellent business that continues to thrive in a very competitive market and as a British-based manufacturer their future prospects are excellent.
"The company is a welcome addition to PIF's investment portfolio."
