Morley Esate Agents Manning Stainton's Queen Street, , Leeds branch played host to 87.9 Morley FM Community Radio pre- Christmas with a live recording of news, views, interviews and music…
“We created a mini radio studio at the front of the branch by the window,” says Morley estate agent David James, “and everyone joined in the fun. We had some surprised clients popping in and suddenly finding themselves on air!”
A Christmas requests and dedications box was placed in the etsate agents for Morley folk wanting a particular piece of music played for someone special and Manning Stainton gave away Mini FM scan radios to the first 50 people on the day.
The esate agency also donated £500 from its Community Fund to help Morley FM achieve its aim of becoming a fully fledged local radio station.
Ian Grey, Secretary of the station, said:-
“Manning Stainton's Community involvement is well known and they were the first in Morley to respond with their generous offer of both cash and publicity. We had a great time talking to as many people as possible, Manning Stainton clients, staff and passers-by about current issues relating to the town, some memories of earlier Morley days and playing music dedications.”
