Despite two small mortgage interest rate rises, we do not see that the West Leeds or Bradford property market will be in any way affected as it still has a very good affordability index. The huge regeneration we are seeing in West Leeds and Bradford is also another cause for optimism.
We foresee price rises at around inflation for properties of average price or above but possibly slightly more for properties which are at the lower end of the price range.
Property sellers in the area need not fear any significant costs in providing Home Information Packs (HIPs) when they are introduced on the 1st June 2007.
Not now needing a Home Condition Report (HCR) the cost will now be much more reasonable. Altogether, we see a very good year ahead for this part of the city.
