The kids at Weetwood Primary School are so delighted with the digital camera recently bought for them by estate agent Manning Stainton, that they popped into the company’s Adel branch on a thank-you visit and, says Head Teacher Jane Wedlinscky, the camera is already helping give a more professional presentation of course work: -
“Many of our parents are in the professional sector, so expect high standards – particularly in the important ICT area,” Jane reports.
“As Leeds’ second–highest performing school in the government’s Year Six SAT tests, we are constantly looking to improve. The state-of-the-art camera is expanding the children’s media skills and it’s immensely encouraging for them to see the benefits it brings.
“We are very grateful to estate Agents Manning Stainton for the donation, as we could not have funded the camera through school funds just now. We’ve even acquired a safe to keep the equipment secure!”
Manning Stainton provided the camera from its Community Fund – established two years ago to help support local initiatives and community projects across most areas of Leeds and Wakefield including Leeds- Sandal, New Miller Dam, Knott, Churwell Gildersome Tingley Durkar Beeston Middleton, Moortown Alwoodley, Rawdon Yeadon Guiseley, Bradford, Wetherby Adel, Moortown, Oakwood / Roundhay, chapel Allerton, Crossgates, Rothwell, Morley, Pudsey, Wortley / Armley / Farnley Pudsey Horsforth Guiseley / Yeadon, Headingley, and WestYorkshire
